Wally Callerio
With over 20 years under his belt behind the decks and in the studio, Wally Callerio is no stranger to the world of house music. Part DJ, producer, and label mainstay, Wally Callerio's list of accolades include over 100 original tracks as well as countless remixes released on over 40 labels internationally. With each release his global following continues to grow organically along with him.

Callerio's musical journey began in the early 90's on the West Coast. He explains, "...I just loved music and listening to it. Djing was a way for me not only to listen but manipulate what I was hearing." A man of music above all, Callerio hasn't forgotten his underground roots. Melodic vocals and chunky basslines are still the cornerstone behind his sound; and if you've had the opportunity to listen live, you know that each of his sets tells a unique story of their own.

In 1997, Callerio launched Dufflebag records with the simple goal of allowing it's artists full discretion and creative disposition over their music. Since then, the label has experienced it's share of successes with releases from artists such as: Manjane, Alyshakid, Corduroy Mavericks, Jt Donaldson, Lance Desardi, as well as numerous releases with R&B; legend Jon B. under his moniker Jah Ques. 2013 marks the label's 16-year anniversary. What's next? "For one, a number of new changes and projects" Wally explains. Recent studio works in the pipeline include upcoming projects and releases on Beatdown Music, a duo with the up-and-coming Sonny Fodera on Cajmere's Cajual Music, and an assortment of dancefloor solids on Dufflebag.

This year also holds a number of new enterprises for Callerio and his label. Dufflebag's continued success and collaborative efforts have recently caught the attention of UK's iconic Defected Music. Personally solicited by Defected's A&R; Luke Soloman and label headman Simon Dunmore, you will now also be able to look forward to Callerio's own releases on Defected Music.

With music as his driving catalyst, this year Callerio looks to grow his repertoire and expand his endeavors even further. 2013 marked the official release of the critically acclaimed Unconscious Therapy House Music documentary. One of the more recent attempts to explain one storyline of the debated history of House, Callerio served as Musical Supervisor as well as a featured artist for the film which also featured a who's who shortlist of the genre's legends such as: Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work, Derrick Carter, and Mark Farina.

With upward momentum on his side and a heavy musical arsenal ready for release, Callerio is ready to lead with his musical vision. Simply put, "I don't try to predict the future of house, I just try to give it my imagination and push with my music. I try to inspire people into making and playing the right stuff..."
DIZ
If life is about "being in the right place at the right time," then Diz's timing could not have been better. Born and raised in Chicago, the original epicenter of the House Music uni-verse, his adolescence coincided with the beginnings of that city's legendary scene. Nowadays, if you mention Diz's name amongst House aficionados, you are almost cer-tain to hear adoration and respect for his insane DJ skills, stage presence, and warm-hearted personality.

Diz's musical influences started at home, where his mother's love for Jazz led him to pursue the saxophone for many years. His DJ beginnings were about whatever he could get his hands on, like Disco and old Breaks records inherited from family members. When he was 14, his older brother took him to The Music Box, where Diz witnessed the true potential of House Music: to affect people's emotions and bring them together on a collective journey. He's been striving to do just that ever since, and in the process, has become a faithful participant in the music, the culture, and the times.

Throughout high school, he frequented parties featuring DJs such as Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Farley and many other masters, and finally had a chance to break into the scene at age 19 after meeting contemporaries Mark Farina, Derrick Carter and Spencer Kincey (Gemini). His early gigs were at Alcazar with Gemini, and at one-off parties. At his Wicker Park loft, what started as a means of paying the rent developed into a two-year run as a nightclub, featuring Diz, Farina and Mark Grant on the decks. Soon after-wards, he and his friends took over Shelter, one of the city's "most severe night spots." >From roughly 1993-98, Diz was the Friday resident at Shelter, and the Saturday resi-dent at Red Dog alongside Johnny Fiasco, and since then has held many residencies at other legendary Chicago spots.

In 1995, Diz accepted a job working for his brother's friend, Anthony Pearson (Chez Damier), at PRESCRIPTION (the label founded by Chez and Ron Trent). PRESCRIP-TION conducted distribution business with CAJUAL, and that is how Diz met his future producing partner and close friend, Joshua (whose nickname as fate would have it, was "Iz").

In 1995, Iz n Diz produced their first record together, "Ghosts in Detroit," released on PRESCRIPTION's sub-label, BALANCE. A year later, Joshua/Iz moved back to San Francisco, but he and Diz maintained a close friendship over the years and continue to produce together for labels like CLASSIC, AESOTERIC, GUIDANCE, TWEEKIN', SIL-VER NETWORK, and PANHANDLE.

Diz is currently on a touring tear taking him one of the planet to the other while some-how finding time to finish up an album with mate Iz, coming soon!
