Over the past few months, Real Connoisseur has risen among the ranks of my favorite up and coming artists. His tracks have been consistently impressive and expertly produced, gaining the attention of plently of outlets including BBC Radio 1 and Pete Tong. The Oxford producer comes from a background in UK garage (his father was a DJ as well), giving him an expertise almost from the get go. His original tracks are reflective of his upbringing, with a very bassy sound such as in the track "Faux De Baux". The song caught early play from artists like Ben Pearce, even leading to their collaboration on a split EP "Nobody's Fool / Just Enough", out on UnderTheShade. It's a solid remix, and in some ways different from his usual deep house sound and heading almost into more of a tropical house realm. It's a dancefloor track for sure, and one we hope to hear out quite a bit. The remix will be released in early September on Relentless Records, be sure to grab it.
